This year, from 2 to 6 October, we can look forward once again to the World Wide Hair Tour Davines: much more than a convention, it is a showcase for innovation and an observatory for new trends. It will all be happening in Berlin, a city whose multicultural vibe will provide the backdrop for industry trends in a state of constant evolution. Visitors will also be able to savour key locations in Berlin life through special trails commemorating the fall of the Wall.
Berlin, a cutting-edge cultural centre on the border between East and West, is the arena for some unique events scheduled to take place as part of the World Wide Hair Tour. First and foremost is the much-anticipated fashion show featuring the most prestigious names in Davines hair-design (Tim Hartley, Brian & Kirsten, Rudy Mostarda, Pedro Inchenko and Johnny Othona), without forgetting of course the professional updating and sharing opportunities offered by the look and learn initiative.
What is more, the World Style Contest to choose the hairdresser best able to interpret the Davines style is on the schedule, providing an outstanding showcase for the most innovative styles. Guests of honour at the event will be the European Institute of Design (IED) and the 2009 winner Lina Shamoun.
New for 2010: the Ecosalon Contest, a competition to honour the most eco-sustainable Davines salon.
Finally, all participants will be expressing the cultural identity of their place of origin by interpreting their own particular look as part of the creative challenge Reunion Folk Party.
